GULNAR ATASHOVA APPOINTED AS THE COUNTRY COORDINATOR FOR GLOBAL PEACE TURKMENISTAN

GulnarAtashova is a distinguished Almuni of Global Peace, a young professional and an emerging economist from Turkmenistan who is devoted to advancing inclusive and sustainable development. Gulnar has a robust background in economics and embraces a unique perspective to the fields of energy policy, youth engagement, and gender equality. Gulnar is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Energy and Economic Development through ‘’Master MEDEA’’ Scholarship program at the Eni Corporate University. The programme is a collaboration with the Pavia University, enhancing her expertise in economic development with a focus on energy sustainability.

Gulnar has actively contributed to youth-focused initiatives, particularly with the OSCE and UNODC, where she championed efforts to integrate young voices into dialogues on peace, security, and policy-making. She participated in the UNRCCA Preventive Diplomacy Academy, where she represented Turkmenistan during the 5th Intergovernmental Dialogue, where she spoke on the topic of SDG-7, “Sustainable Energy” on November 27th in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.

Beyond her studies, Gulnar is currently assisting the Academy with its social media activities, helping to expand its outreach and engage youth in preventive diplomacy efforts across the region. Her works and studies align with her commitment to developing innovative, inclusive policies that addresses global challenges while empowering future generations to make impactful contributions in the field.
