Gloria Hingoma is a distinguished Alumni of Global Peace and a seasoned expert in peace and security with over a decade of experience advancing education for peace, peace education, and global citizenship education in Zambia. Her work centres on promoting locally-led initiatives that build resilience, foster social cohesion and strengthen efforts for sustainable peace efforts at local, National and continental levels. Gloria’s commitment to peacebuilding through impactful education and community resilience initiatives earned her the mentorship and grant award from UNESCO-APCEIU’s 9th Global Capacity Building Program in Global Citizenship Education in 2024.
As an international consultant, Gloria brings a rich background in collaborative qualitative research and evaluation of sustaining peace and security frameworks of multilateral, regional economic communities, civil society and government aimed at informing policy and practice in integrating gender and human rights in conflict prevention and peacebuilding interventions.
Gloria holds an advanced masters degree in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies from the University of Bradford, United Kingdom. Gloria is a Rotary Peace Fellow from Makerere University Uganda, founder and Executive Director of the Peace and Conflict Transformation Initiative, Gloria continues developing context-specific strategies that align with national priorities and international goals for sustaining peace and security.
