At Global Peace, we believe the most powerful force for peace is young people. With 60% of the population in our countries under 30, the future of peace, stability, and development will be decided by youth. That’s why all Global Peace programmes are youth-led, tech-enabled, and rooted in local communities. Our speakers, participants and stakeholders have been drawn from over 150 countries since 2019. We work across all continents with interconnected programme areas. Each programme is adapted to the local context but united by one goal and moving from potential to peace, at Scale.
From the intergenerational dialogues to Global Programmes, building the next generation of peacebuilders is crucial. Conflict and development challenges cannot be solved without young people at the table. This is why Global Peace programme develops youth as ethical leaders, mediators, and civic actors.
Global Peace develop programmes that presents Youth Peace Ambassadors by offering them the required training needed for conflict analysis, dialogue, negotiation, and non-violent action. Our platforms connects thousands of youth across the world to set peace agendas and engage government by placing youth in local government, media, and civil society to influence policy. This initiatives connects youth with traditional leaders, women leaders, and peace scholars. When youth have skills and access, they stop being seen as a “risk” and become recognized as the solution. Our ambassadors, participants and speakers are already leading peace development initiatives across countries.
Our programmes are designed to promote digital peace & media literacy towards advancing peace through digital skills that supports Dialogue & Social Cohesion by connecting communities across divides. Lasting peace is built on trust. These programmes creates safe spaces for people who disagree to talk, listen, and solve problems together.
At Global Peace linking Peace to Jobs and Opportunity helps promote Peace & Prosperity. Idleness and poverty are drivers of conflict. Our programme ensures peacebuilding and economic opportunity go hand in hand. Global Peace Programmes encourages the training of youth in coding, graphic design, digital marketing, AI prompt engineering, and content creation. It further supports the Youth in Entrepreneurship through business training, mentorship, and micro-grants for peace-focused enterprises.
As climate changes becomes the most pressing global issue, Global Peace has noted the need for Green Jobs for Peace that will promote climate action projects and employ youth and reduce resource conflict. In view of this, our programmes supports Job linkages by connecting the youth to private sector, thriving businesses and government opportunities. Young people with purpose and income are less vulnerable to recruitment into violence. Economic dignity is a foundation for peace.
In Global Peace our approach to programme development is Youth-Led based where Young people co-design, co-lead, and evaluate all our programmes. Our programmes are designed with a global framework and local adaptation that provides tools and standards. This supports country teams to adapt to language, culture, and conflict drivers. It is partnership-driven working closely with stakeholders in Government, UN, Private Sector, Academia, Civil Societies and Traditional Leaders.
To this end, Global Peace Programmes are evidence based and technologically enabled to use data, monitoring and evaluation to prove what works for humanity advancement towards working together for a better world.
