Buba Fatty is an experience accountant and a Conflict Management Trainer of Trainer, trained in Conflict Management, Mediation and Negotiation on two occasions at the request of thae African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD) in Johannesburg in 2022 and in 2023 in Pretoria, South Africa. He is also certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) practitioner trained by African Centre for the collaborative Resolution of Disputes (AfCCoDR). He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy from the University of The Gambia and has worked with the Gambia Press Union for many years.
Buba is one of the first conveners of the Global Peace Intergenerational Dialogues, which was held in consultation with the office of the UN Secretary General Advisor for the UN @ 75. Buba has since been an active and ardent advocate for Global Peace operations both in Africa and across the world. His passion for peace building is evident by attended series of trainings on conflict management. Buba Fatty is currently volunteering with the Peace Hub The Gambia to advocate for Youth, Peace and Security. He also works alongside the Insider Mediation concept Project of UNDP in The Gambia
Buba Fatty has great leadership qualities and is an alumnus of YALI, Regional Leadership Centre for West Africa. He also served as Finance Secretary for the strategic council of the International Model Diplomats for Integrated Development (IMDID). He was also the secretary general of The Gambia Chapter of IMDID. Buba is also a strong advocate for the United Nations’ objectives, frequently promoting its initiatives related to global peace, climate change, and community development.
