On 18 June 2019 Global Peace met with the Global Head of the SDG Strategy Hub, Mr. Dawda Jobarteh and the Coordinator of the SDG Advocates Mr. Ben Schaare.
SDG Advocates, of which Global Peace Chair, Mrs. Graca Maçhel is a member, is a group of 17 inspiring influential people whose work contributes to the promotion and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Utilising their unique public platform, the SDG Advocates play an important role in advancing the work of the SDGs and creating a more inclusive and sustainable future.
The meeting discussed the extensive work of Global Peace and the upcoming 100 Inter-Generational Dialogues (IGDs) that will be taking place globally throughout 2019 and sought to find ways that the parties could get involved with and support the IGDs.
