Launch

Global Peace was launched by South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa and Mrs. Graça Machel on 27 July 2018 during the BRICS Plus Summit in South Africa.

Goal

Global Peace aims to be a catalyst for collaborative efforts between governments, the private sector and civil society, working together for a better world, by generating innovative solutions to ongoing challenges to peace and development.

Logo: The Mpatapo Knot – “Knot of Reconciliation”

The Adinkra Symbol originated in Ghana, West Africa. It is a symbol of reconciliation, peacemaking and pacification. The symbol represents the pledge that binds disputing parties to a peaceful, harmonious reconciliation and is a symbol of peacemaking.

Guiding Pillars

Peace is more than the absence of war; it is also the absence of poverty, inequality and unemployment.

Therefore, our pillars aim to:
